Bouldering as a sport took off at Hueco Tanks outside of El Paso, TX. The setting is so unique and the movement is so fun here, in addition to thousands of years of history literally painted into the rock!

A spontaneous trip to Rocky Mountain National Park, Guanella Pass, and Denver for bouldering with the Houston gym crew and some wonderful fall hiking in the mountains and aspens.

Part 3 of Spring Break 2024. Rain and snow interrupts climbing in the premier sport climbing destination of the desert southwest, but we make do with a mix of scrambling, climbing, rockhounding, and sightseeing.

A bouldering trip to the desert mecca, with classic climbs, sun and snow, cactuses and Joshua Trees, and fun had by all.

Repeated visits to enjoy the natural and cultural capital of the world Texas. ATX has all the things I find Houston lacking in...all the more reason to get out of the house.
